Max size error

Is there anyway to get around the error below?

The database file is larger than the configured maximum database size. This setting takes effect on the first concurrent database connection only. [ Required Max Database Size (in MB; 0 if unknown) = 0 ]

Can I change the Maximum Database Size property/parameter?

How large is the database? SQL Compact Query Analyzer defaults to Max Database Size = 4 GB

Would it be possible for me to test this database? Perhaps publish it somewhere I can download and use for testing?

The database is 2.5gb. However, if the max size defaults to 4gb, my guess is the file is corrupted (I received it from one of our customers).

I will try a few other things and if I need additional help, I'll contact you.

Thanks for your response!

Try opening the database with alternative tools like SQL Server Management Studio or Visual Studio 2008 and 2010. If those tools can't open it then it could be true that the database might be corrupted.

If you can open the database in other tools, then I have a bug in my software and I'll try to fix it A.S.A.P.

I just created a large database 3.9 GB and it works fine, but if I try to populate it with more data it fails when it reaches 4 GB which is a limitation of SQLCE and is expected.

But I'm still very interested in hearing if your database doesn't fail using other tools :)

I just tried to open in a couple of other tools and ran into the same error message. Therefore, the file must be corrupted.

Thanks again for following up.
